The City of Dublin is revealing a time lapse video that shows the City’s newest roundabout during the construction process.
This video, from a camera set up at the work site, shows the project from beginning to end in 23 seconds. The work took place from April to December 2014.
The video shows the transition from piles of dirt to a well-engineered, drivable roundabout that connects Bright Road to the newly-constructed section of Emerald Parkway.
The roundabout was part of Emerald Parkway’s 8th and final phase, which opened in December 2014. This phase provides a new path from Riverside Drive to Sawmill Road and creates a new route to I-270 from other parts of the community. It also opens up nearly 115 acres of land for commercial development.
The City plans to document upcoming transportation projects, including the I-270/SR 33 interchange and the SR 161/Riverside Drive roundabout, with similar videos.
