Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) |
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is prepared annually in a manner designed to fairly present the financial position and results of operations of the various funds and account groups of the City. The City’s Department of Finance is responsible for the accuracy of the data and the completeness and fairness of the CAFR, including all disclosures.
The report consists of three sections: the Introductory Section, the Financial Section, and the Statistical Section.
This section provides an overview and summary of the City’s finances, economic prospects and achievements. Also included is the City’s organization chart, a list of principal officials, and the Certificate of Achievement, if awarded, for the prior year’s CAFR.
This section includes the Independent Auditors’ Report, Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), Basic Financial Statements, Required Supplementary Information (RSI), and various other combining and individual fund financial statements and schedules.
This section includes tables of unaudited data depicting financial, economic and demographic history for the City over the last ten years, where available. It has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of GASB Statement No. 44, Economic Condition reporting: The Statistical Section.
