The City has maintained a AAA rating from Fitch Ratings for 11 consecutive years and an Aaa rating fromMoody’s since 2004. These ratings – the highest available from both agencies – allow the City to secure the lowest interest rates when

issuing bonds, which ultimately results in savings to taxpayers. In 2012, the City issued $10.82 million in bonds to fund street lights, a water tower, sewer system improvements and to refund an existing loan .
