The Use of Glass

Glass is commonly used as an exterior cladding material for buildings beyond just windows. Technology has provided the architect with clear glass, tinted glass, reflective glass, translucent glass, energy saving glass, insulated glass and laminated glass that can be used for various levels of shading or textures. In a contemporary building environment, there is a greater opportunity to take advantage of these advancements in technology.
