Japanese R&D firm seeking North America HQ
Dublin, Ohio – Dublin City Council will review one new economic development agreement that will bring 77 new jobs to Dublin and take action on two economic development agreements that will create 49 new jobs and retain 25 jobs at tonight’s City Council meeting beginning at 7 p.m.

G-TEKT Corporation, headquartered in Saitama, Japan was founded in April 2013 to support North American automobile production. The proposed Dublin location will serve as an R&D facility for the design and development of parts and manufacturing equipment for related companies in North America. The corporate vision is for G-TEKT North America to be the dedicated global auto body frame component manufacturer with strong R&D capability. G-TEKT North America’s mission is to contribute to a low-carbon society by fusing high quality, low-cost technologies with cutting-edge technologies, providing satisfaction to customers around the globe.
The proposed economic development agreement to G-TEKT includes a $30,000 location grant tied directly to the purchase and renovation of a 30,000 square foot facility in Dublin and the creation of 77 full-time jobs by the end of 2014. G-TEKT has also been offered a five-year 12% performance incentive on withholdings collected (2014-2018). The performance incentive is capped at $69,000 for the term of the agreement. The company must reach predetermined annual withholdings targets to qualify for these performance incentives.
Council will vote on the G-TEKT agreement at the September 9 Council meeting.
Agenda – Second Readings
Decillion Healthcare LLC, a wholesale specialty and infusion pharmacy, providing comprehensive, cost-effective pharmaceutical and home care solutions, is opening an office and laboratory in Dublin with a plan to create 22 pharmaceutical positions by 2018. The proposed economic development agreement includes a seven-year performance incentive (2014-2020) of 12% for a 10-year lease, valued at $21,000. If approved by Council, Decillion Healthcare has plans to lease 9,000 square feet of office and lab space in the Blazer Research District by October 1, 2013.
ProspeX, LLC, a business services training and lead generation company currently located at 7001 Post Road, recently purchased by Ohio University, is seeking to retain 25 jobs and create 27 new jobs. The proposed economic development agreement includes a three-year performance incentive of 15% on new withholdings, which is capped at $15,500 for the term of the agreement. ProspeX must commit to a minimum five-year lease agreement for a building located in Dublin.
Council will vote on the proposed agreements at the Monday, August 26 Council meeting.
