The City of Dublin hosted an Arbor Day celebration in the Coventry Woods neighborhood Saturday, April 30, 2016. The City’s forestry experts handed out free tree seedlings while answering questions about trees.
Members of the community were invited to attend and learn the proper way to prune and mulch trees, schedule a free tree assessment, enter a raffle for prizes, and discover the important role trees play in our community.
The Coventry Woods neighborhood experienced significant loss of trees due to emerald ash borer, an invasive insect that has killed millions of trees across the country. Planting new trees will help restore the ecosystem in the area.
