(DUBLIN, Ohio) – The City of Dublin has been recognized as a Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association’s My Heart. My Life. Initiative.
The Fit-Friendly Worksite Recognition program is a catalyst for positive change in the American workforce and helps worksites make their employees’ health and wellness a priority.
“Physical activity and employee wellness are important priorities at the City of Dublin. We are honored and excited to be recognized by the American Heart Association as a Gold-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite,” said Mollie Steiner, wellness coordinator. “We’re committed to providing the best workplace environment possible. This will benefit our employees’ health and produce even more positive results for our worksite overall.”
- Offer all employees physical activity support at the worksite.
- Investigate healthy eating options to be made available at the worksite.
- Promote a wellness culture at the worksite.
- Embrace at least nine criteria items as outlined by the American Heart Association in the areas of physical activity, nutrition and culture.
