(Dublin, OH) – The City of Dublin Division of Fleet Management was ranked #25 out of the 100 Best Fleets 2013 at the Government Fleet Expo & Conference Wednesday, June 12 in San Antonio, TX. Dublin’s Fleet was ranked #63 in 2012.
Dublin’s Fleet Manager Darryl Syler said initiatives such as Dublin’s compressed natural gas (CNG) station and the associated IGS Energy partnership, testing and use of EcoChem’s High Performance Clean Diesel, and the City’s participation in a regional fleet services agreement as a few of the significant factors that placed Dublin in the top 25 government fleets in the U.S.
Applicants for this award are judged based on twelve areas of criteria including accountability, use of technology, collaboration, creativity, efficiency and staff development.
Fleet Management is a Division of the Department of Administrative Services and is responsible for all equipment within the City of Dublin. Fleet Management operates the City’s fuel site that currently includes unleaded and diesel fuel and a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling facility. Fleet Management is an ASE Blue Seal Shop with six ASE Master Certificated Technicians.
