(Dublin, OH) – The City of Dublin and Ohio University held a Tree City Celebration on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Ohio University Dublin Campus.
Ohio University Executive Vice President and Provost Pam Benoit and several colleagues traveled from Athens to Dublin for the celebration. OU Dublin faculty and students and City of Dublin officials also took part in the ceremony and tree planting event.
Dublin City Manager Dana McDaniel, City Forester Paula Chope, Provost Benoit and Mayor Mike Keenan planted a Yoshino Cherry Tree, which holds special significance for Ohio University and Dublin.
This is the 27th year Dublin has earned national recognition as a Tree City USA.
The City of Dublin is the proud home of the Ohio University College of Health Sciences and Professions and the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic medicine. The Ohio University Dublin campus opened on July 7, 2014.
