DUBLIN SUPPORTS SCHOOL SAFETY: The city manager was authorized Monday night to enter into an agreement with Dublin City Schools for the benefit of the School Resource Officer Program. Since 1998, the City and the school district have partnered to share costs for the seven school resource officers, with the City of Dublin covering the full costs of three officers and splitting the costs with the district for the additional four officers.
MORE JOBS IN DUBLIN: Dublin City Council discussed an economic development agreement to provide incentives to automobile parts supplier G-TEKT North America Corporation in order to create 77 new jobs at their new headquarters, located at 325 Cramer Creek. Additionally, council approved two economic development agreements with Decillion Healthcare LLC and ProspeX, LLC at the August 26 council meeting, expected to create 49 new jobs in Dublin.
SWIFT MUIRFIELD FENCE SOLUTIONS Animal safety concerns regarding the temporary perimeter fence of Muirfield Village Golf Club are in the process of being addressed. Cross bars will be installed over the finials, from section to section, during the week of September 9, in addition to sections of fencing being removed from each hole to allow for deer accessibility. These sections will be re-installed the week prior to The Presidents Cup.
