BRIDGE STREET DISTRICT PROPERTY ACQUISITION PLANS PROGRESSING
Property acquisitions aligning with the Bridge Street District redevelopment plans were discussed by City Council last night. An ordinance for the purchase of a 4.4 acre parcel of land on Dublin Road along the west side of the Scioto River containing the Indian Run Falls stream bed and scenic frontage on the river received its first consideration last night and will receive a second consideration at the October 28 Council meeting.
Council also approved the intent to appropriate the purchase of two parcels of land for the future realignment of Riverside Drive. These projects were included in the five-year Capital Improvements Program that City Council approved in September. The properties include 6570 Riverside Drive, currently the Spa at River Ridge, and a residential property located at 6694 Riverside Drive.
The community is invited to learn more about how these property acquisitions align with the Bridge Street District plans for the Scioto River Corridor at a community forum scheduled for Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Conference Center at OCLC.
