(Dublin, OH) – The City of Dublin Division of Fleet Management was ranked #16 out of the 100 Best Fleets in North America for 2014.
The awards were given Wednesday, April 9 in Minneapolis, Minn., at the at the NAFA Fleet Management Association’s annual conference. Dublin’s Fleet had been ranked #25 in 2013.
Dublin’s Fleet Manager Darryl Syler said the ranking looks at more than 38,000 governmental fleets in the country and recognizes peak performance, efficiency, accountability, cost effectiveness, use of technology and other criteria.

The award Syler said initiatives such as Dublin’s compressed natural gas (CNG) station and the associated IGS Energy partnership, testing and use of EcoChem’s High Performance Clean Diesel, and the City’s participation in a regional fleet services agreement are a few of the significant factors that placed Dublin in the top 20 government fleets in the U.S.
At the conference, Syler was also awarded the Windell T. Mitchell Memorial Award for his leadership and humanitarian work in the fleet industry.
Dublin’s Fleet Management is an Automotive Service Excellence Blue Seal Shop with six ASE Master Certificated Technicians, which oversees the City’s fleet and fueling station that offersunleaded, diesel fuel and compressed natural gas (CNG).
