(Dublin, OH) – The City Dublin Police arrested David Lashawn Robinson at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 as a suspect connected to recent reports of mail being stolen from Dublin resident mailboxes in April.
Robinson was reportedly seen removing mail from mailboxes in the Dunabbey Loop area and was stopped by Dublin Police on Havington Court, off of Tara Hill Drive. Numerous pieces of mail were located in his vehicle. Robinson was arrested and transported to Franklin County Jail.
A news alert and photo of a Plymouth green minivan was sent out the week before informing residents of the suspicious vehicle/driver that may be connected to recent mail theft in the Dublin area. Dublin Chief of Police Heinz von Eckartsberg acknowledged the swift arrest as a direct result of information and public outreach to Dublin residents and the media.
Police believe Robinson is connected to at least five different thefts of mail from Dublin resident mailboxes. The thefts remain under investigation.
