The Dublin Police Department is investigating a suspicious package, which lead to a hazmat response from multiple jurisdictions Sunday, August 13, 2017.
The Dublin Justice Center and a private residence were quarantined Sunday evening until preliminary testing concluded the substance was not threatening in nature.
A Dublin resident received an envelope containing a white powdery substance and brought the envelope to the Justice Center. No one who came into contact with the substance suffered any adverse effects. Two Dublin Police officers were treated and released from a local hospital as a precaution.
Dublin Police, the FBI, the Northwest Area Strike Team (NAS-T) and Franklin County Public Health are among the agencies involved in the response.
