(DUBLIN, Ohio) – The City of Dublin is pleased to welcome Cameron Keir as the newest member of the Communications & Public Information team. His primary role will be to support crime prevention messaging and incident response as the Public Information Officer for the Police Department. Former PIO Lindsay Weisenauer is moving to a new role in the Communications & Public Information Division.
Keir is no stranger to the central Ohio area and media landscape. For the past five years, he served as newscast and political producer for WBNS-TV (10TV) in Columbus, and he brings a decade of journalism experience to the Dublin team.
Keir will be the primary point of contact for police-related questions and incidents Monday through Friday during standard business hours, and will respond to police incidents as necessary.
Effective immediately, the City of Dublin is initiating a new PIO procedure for 24-hour incident response on evenings, holidays and weekends. Journalists on deadline can contact the on-call PIO at 614.410.4530 for incident-related questions. A members of the Communications & Public Information Division will be on-call at all times.
Records requests should be sent to Keir, who will work with Records staff to fulfill requests in a timely matter during business hours.
Keir looks forward to making time over the coming months to get to know central Ohio media members personally so the productive relationships between Dublin and your organizations will continue.
