City of Dublin Nature Coordinator confirmed the alleged monkey reported earlier this morning was not a monkey but a red fox.
Muirfield Village Association sent a notice out to residents following the report of a monkey siting near Memorial Drive and Muirfield Drive around 9 a.m. Video from a nearby business was sent to Dublin Police. Nature Coordinator Barbara Ray confirmed it was a red fox.
Ray said this time of year, foxes lose their hair and can be mistaken for other animals.
