Department still accepting applications through January 24
(Dublin, OH) Dozens of candidates attended the Dublin Police Department Recruitment Day on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Around 80 individuals participated in the 90-minute event, which provided a better understanding of the application, testing and training process.
The department is currently accepting applications. Anyone interested in applying should visit JoinDPD.org to fill out an application. Applicants must also take a written examination that will be administered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Dublin Scioto High School, 4000 Hard Rd., Dublin, Ohio 43016. Applicants must fill out the online application to take the test. Registration begins at 9 a.m.
Candidates must score at least an 80% on the written examination to move forward in the selection process, but a passing score does not guarantee that a candidate will move forward. Candidates who score in at least the top 30 places on the written examination will participate in the structured panel interview phase of the process.
No prior law enforcement experience is necessary. If you are interested in pursuing a career with the Dublin Police Department, follow these steps:
