Veterans Day Ceremony – Monday, November 12, 2012
Grounds of Remembrance in Dublin Veterans Park
Grounds of Remembrance in Dublin Veterans Park is a tribute to the men and women who have served our country in war and peace. Dublin Veterans Park is located on approximately one acre of land in Historic Dublin near the Dublin Public Library along the Indian Run. The Grounds were dedicated on Memorial Day, 2009 and serve as the ceremonial backdrop for Memorial Day and Veterans Day observances.
Dedication Stones
With a contribution of just $300 you can join those who have purchased a stone for the Recognition Walk at the Grounds of Remembrance and give a gift to last a lifetime. The Recognition Walk focuses on the journey of service of men and women and features 500 dedication stones inscribed with the names of veterans or messages of gratitude along a path lined with a bronze guide rail.
Your gift of a dedication stone will stand the test of time and touch hearts as it celebrates family, community and country in a permanent place of tribute in Historic Dublin. Special certificates are available to present to the recipient for those who purchase a stone as a gift.
The Grounds of Remembrance is a place to honor the men and women who have served our country in times of war and peace. Along with the Recognition Walk, the park also features a loggia for a place of public gathering; a Memory Wall where visitors can leave personal messages; a grove of 25 sycamore trees; and a Dedication Wall etched with the emblems of the five branches of service.
Call Community Relations for more information at 614.410.4450. Please indicate upon ordering if you would like a certificate to commemorate your gift.
