In conjunction with the City’s Economic Development staff, Special Projects is conducting twin studies to identify development and redevelopment opportunities in these long-standing developments. As two of the identified business neighborhoods, Blazer Research and Metro Center are part of Dublin’s earliest Planned Unit Development District zonings. As facilities within these office developments begin to age, greater pressure will be created to look at ways to ensure the neighborhoods remain viable employment locations. Without development text standards, completion of a plan to look at infill opportunities and the redevelopment character of these areas can provide a planning framework upon which to base reviews of future redevelopment opportunities.
