Dublin Historical Society Speaker Series
September 14 – The Liberty Earthworks – Gary Argabright
Join Mr. Argabright as he discusses features of the monumental earthen complex
created by the ancient Hopewell peoples, Liberty Earthworks. He will be available at
the DHS Museum before his presentation, from 2-4 PM, for walk-ins who would like his
help identifying their arrowheads and ancient tool artifacts, for no charge.
October 12 – Ghost Encounters in Historic Dublin – Rebecca Schisler
Ms. Schisler, creator of Dublin Ghost Walk, will lead a short walking tour from the
museum, followed by a lecture of the remaining stories and a Q&A session at the
museum. Tour begins at the museum.
November 9 – Lucy Depp Park and Underground Railroad – Michael Hamilton
“The Depp Family Settlement and The Underground Railroad” by the co-historian
for Lucy Depp Park & The Depp Settlement in Dublin. Mr. Hamilton will present a
Power Point with his discussion.
