City Council Approves 5-Year Capital Improvements Program

(Dublin, OH) Dublin City Council has approved a five-year capital improvements program (CIP) for 2025-2029 for $325,587,830 and includes 143 projects over five years.

Key projects within the 2025-2029 CIP include:

  • Dublin Community Recreation Center Improvements – $15M
  • Metro Center Revitalization – $3.8M
  • AI Innovations – $1.3M
  • Police Patrol Robot Technology – $450K

“Our five-year CIP plays a vital role in advancing the City’s Strategic Framework and enables us to foster an environment where both residents and businesses can thrive. The plan ensures stable funding for the upkeep of existing assets, expands opportunities for parks and recreation and invests in new infrastructure projects, all while maintaining responsible financial stewardship to benefit the entire community,” said Director of Finance Matthew Stiffler.

The CIP is a five-year outlook for anticipated capital projects and is reviewed and updated annually by the City. These projects are primarily related to improvements in transportation, parks, utilities and facilities. The CIP represents a long-term financial plan, which establishes priorities, identifies project costs and phasing, identifies funding sources, and serves as a planning document for capital improvements. The projects and their timing are reviewed annually by City Council and adopted by Ordinance.

Council approved the CIP after a second reading at its meeting on Oct. 21, 2024.
