NEW! Coffman Park Night of Lights | Thursday, December 3 from 5 to 9 p.m.
The City of Dublin will mark the official start of the 2020 holiday season by hosting the all-new Coffman Park Night of Lights from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3. This physically distant, drive-thru light show will take place on Coffman Park Drive and replaces the City’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A display of 40,000 LED lights will illuminate Coffman Park Drive, and drivers can tune in to their vehicle’s FM radio for music to accompany the spectacular display. The FM station number will be posted the night of the event at the entrance of the light show.
Participation in the event is free and residents will be required to stay inside their cars at all times with no walk-up viewing permitted. Cars are required to enter from Commerce Parkway onto Recreation Center Drive.
Along the route, drivers will pass by the Reindeer Corral, the Elves Playground and several additional holiday displays. Festive live entertainment, including a juggler, fire performer, holiday characters, stilt walkers and dancers, will enhance the event.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on the front lawn of the Coffman Pavilion next to the 30-foot City of Dublin Christmas tree. Although Mr. and Mrs. Claus cannot meet with children this year, letters for Santa will be accepted.
Following this one-night event, Coffman Park Drive will be lit each evening through Sunday, Jan. 3, for the public to enjoy.
