Dublin Employees Participate in Community Touch a Truck Event
(Dublin, OH) The City of Dublin participated in the Washington Township Touch & Stuff a Truck event on Saturday, August 8, 2015. The event was held at The Homestead park located at 4675 Cosgray Road.
Families got a chance to take a closer look at various vehicles used in the community, including firetrucks, medical transport vehicles, police cruisers, distracted driving simulators and snow plows. Children enjoyed the opportunity to paint the plows.
Participants also took the opportunity to stuff a truck with cans of food for central Ohio food banks.
The event featured a mix of traditional and alternative fueled vehicles.
“This was an awesome event for the community and so well attended,” said Darryl Syler, City of Dublin Fleet Manager. “It’s nice to live in a community that takes the time to give back to the residents. The smiles of all the kids were priceless.”
Dublin will host its own Touch a Truck event in September.
- Date: Saturday, September 12
- Time: 10 a.m. – noon
- Location: Dublin Community Pool South
The event will feature Dublin snow plows, police cruisers and other various vehicles. Document shredding services will also be available.
