As we approach the opening of the S.R. 161/Riverside Drive roundabout, drivers will notice increased construction and paving activity. Delays should be expected. Your patience is appreciated as we enter the final phase of roundabout construction.
The following traffic impacts are expected during the week of August 1, 2016:
- August 1 through August 6, there will be periodic delays due to paving on S.R. 161 eastbound and westbound between Dale Drive and the S.R. 161 bridge. One-lane traffic will be maintained in each direction during the paving operations.
- August 1 through August 6, S.R. 161 westbound near the roundabout will be controlled periodically via flaggers for equipment crossings between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
- Sections of Riverside Drive south of S.R. 161 will be restricted to one-lane traffic between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Two-way traffic will be maintained by flagging operation.
The construction and paving schedule is weather dependent and subject to change.
The new section of Riverside Drive and the roundabout at S.R. 161 and Riverside Drive are expected to open in mid-August. Visit DublinOhioUSA.gov/riverside for updates, a roundabout guide and a video simulation.
