(Dublin, Ohio) — The Dublin Police Department and the Northwest Regional Emergency Communications Center (NRECC) are participating in a reaccreditation process from an international credentialing authority known as the “gold standard in public safety.”
The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) program gives accreditation to public safety agencies that comply with the commission’s hundreds of standards and demonstrate a “commitment to continuous development and the professional delivery of public safety services.”
Nov. 1-3, CALEA will conduct a virtual assessment of Dublin Police and NRECC to verify both agencies meet professional standards in their fields. Dublin Police has been CALEA-accredited since 1990, with this assessment being its 10th; NRECC is on its first reaccreditation after receiving its initial credential in 2018.
