The City of Dublin continues to follow Governor Mike DeWine state orders, as well as guidance from the Ohio Department of Health and Franklin County Public Health, to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Here are some updates about current openings and closures of City and community outdoor spaces.
Basketball Courts Reopen
After receiving guidance from Franklin County Public Health, all City of Dublin outdoor basketball courts are now open, and hoop nets have be replaced. However, Basketball games and scrimmages are not allowed on the courts.
Please continue to follow social distancing guidelines:
- Stay 6 feet from others.
- Wash or sanitize hands frequently.
- Use face coverings when possible.
- Stay home if feeling ill.
Volleyball Courts Reopen
As part of the City’s Restart plan, Dublin’s sand volleyball courts are now open and grass courts open June 18 by noon.

- Avery Park (2 courts)
- Kaltenbach Park (2 courts)
- Wyndham Park (1 court)
Grass Courts
- Llewellyn Park (1 court)
- Scioto Park (1 court)
The City encourages safety precautions for visiting Dublin’s volleyball courts:

Dublin Playgrounds, Park Restrooms Reopened
As of June 10, Dublin playgrounds and park restrooms have reopened. However, the Ballantrae Community Park splash pad and restroom will remain closed at this time. The City encourages safety precautions for visiting Dublin’s 44 playgrounds:
- Practice social distancing.
- Wash or sanitize hands frequently.
- Use face coverings whenever possible.
- If you are feeling ill, please stay at home.
The following park restrooms opened June 10: Amberleigh Park, Avery Central, Avery North, Avery South, Coffman Park, Coffman Pavilion, Coffman Skate Park, Darree Baseball, Darree Soccer East, Darree Soccer West, Emerald Central, Emerald North, Ferris-Wright Park, Kaltenbach Park, Miracle League, and Scioto Park.
Governor DeWine announced that certain entrainment venues, including playgrounds, could reopen June 10, with health and safety restrictions: aquariums, art galleries, country clubs, ice skating rinks, indoor family entertainment centers, indoor sports facilities, laser tag facilities, movie theaters (indoor), museums, playgrounds (outdoor), public recreation centers, roller skating rinks, social clubs, trampoline parks, and zoos.
Day camps and residential camps may open at any time, according to DeWine’s office.
Additional Openings and Closures
- Opened May 26: tennis and pickleball courts, baseball, softball and cricket fields and skate park
- Closed: Contact sport areas, park shelters, water fountains
- Closed: Ballantrae Community Park splash pad and restroom
