Dublin, Ohio – Dublin Chief Information Officer Doug McCollough is inviting residents interested in discussing possible access to broadband internet services to a public meeting, Wednesday, April 27, 6 – 7:30 pm, at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, Talla 3.
McCollough said informal dialogue began with residents in the fall of 2015.
“We seek to be responsive in support of the interests of Dublin residents. Staff recommends a continuing dialog with interested and motivated residents in a more formal setting,” McCollough recently told City Council.
“In general, ‘quality of place’ is a metric, which more communities are measuring themselves against, and for which residential broadband is increasingly a key component,” he added, noting demands for applications include providing consistent access to students for educational purpose at home, making working from home a reliable option and making tele-medicine possible.
There will be a presentation followed by discussion.
