Marilee was first elected to Dublin City Council in November of 1999. In November 2011, she was re-elected to a fourth four-year term. Council selected her to serve three consecutive two-year terms as mayor in 2004, 2006 and 2008. She previously served as chair of the Planning & Zoning Commission and on the Personnel Board of Review.
Marilee is retired from HandsOn Central Ohio where she was the CEO for 22 years. She is a board member for Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, Ohio Municipal League, Women in Municipal Government/National League of Cities, the Joint Columbus and Franklin County Housing Advisory Board, IMPACT Community Action Agency and Welcome Warehouse; and is a member of the Dublin A.M. Rotary. She is one of two Ohio representatives to the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Committee of the National League of Cities.
Marilee is a recipient of the YWCA Women of Achievement Award, Dublin Chamber of Commerce Spotlight Dublin Award, the National League of Cities Women in Municipal Government Leadership Award, Women’s Federation of World Peace Award for Interracial, International & Intercultural Service and The President’s Volunteer Service Award.
