The City of Dublin is proud to announce the results of the 2022 Community Attitudes Survey, in which 99% of residents said Dublin is an excellent or good place to live. That rating is up from 98% in 2016.
“The satisfaction of our residents is of upmost importance to us,” says City Manager Dana McDaniel. “To receive a 99% approval rating affirms that we are living up to our mission of providing the best quality of life and environment in which our residents and businesses can thrive. Credit is due to the strategic direction and resources provided by our City Council and to our world-class staff, which works tirelessly to implement that direction and maintain the best-in-class services and amenities truly making Dublin a global city of choice.”
The City regularly surveys residents to measure satisfaction levels, chart any changes in satisfaction and benchmark with other communities as appropriate. For this survey, the City contracted with Saperstein Associates, a long-standing local opinion research firm.
Other highlights from the 2022 Community Attitudes Survey include:
- 97% are very satisfied or somewhat satisfied with trash recycling services (1% no opinion)
- 96% are very satisfied or somewhat satisfied with police protection (1% no opinion)
- 96% are very satisfied or somewhat satisfied with City-sponsored events (1% no opinion)
- 94% are very satisfied or somewhat satisfied with snow removal from City streets (1% no opinion)
When asked an open-ended question about what City officials should consider their highest priority, the majority of respondents (50%) named providing city services and amenities.
