Each year, the City of Dublin identifies two neighborhood parks that are due for an update. The Brighton Commons Park playground was selected to replace the aging equipment. This project will include all-new equipment and play surfacing.
The renovation will maintain the same size play area and include equipment geared for children ages 2-5 years old.
We are asking for feedback on the renovated playground’s overall design as well as selecting your favorite of two options for the main play structure — the “Hedra® Scout” or the “Weevos®” design.
Option 1: Hedra® Scout Play Structure
Designed for children ages 2-5, the Hedra® Scout features many climbing activities, slides and is ADA compliant.
Option 2: Weevos® Play Structure
Kids ages 6 months to 5 years will find plenty of age-appropriate challenge to help them build their skills.
The proposed design also includes a seat wall planter, four-seats seesaw, as well as an OmniSpin® spinner.
The four-seats seesaw provides opportunities for collaborative play to keep kids active. Accommodates up to four kids at once.
Similar to a merry-go-round, the OmniSpin® spinner offers children of all abilities valuable vestibular sensory stimulation and encourages interactive play.
The new playground renovations will begin in early summer 2022 with the project set to be completed by late summer 2022.
Residents are encouraged to review the park renderings and provide their input for this project. Submit your feedback in the comment box below by Monday, Dec. 27, 2021.
