Enrich at the DCRC
Adult Beginner Ceramics: This beginner level, instructor-led program involves skill learning to build ceramic works by hand. Techniques in decoration, glazing, and kiln firing also included. All supplies and materials included. No outside work or materials permitted. (Intermediate level also available)

Ceramics Pit Firing Workshop: Learn one of the original firing processes in ceramics. Experiment with different coloring techniques, build an outdoor kiln, and learn four types of firing. Participants should bring their own bisque ware ceramic work for this workshop. Instructor notifies participants of pick-up of final ceramic pieces the week following the program. This workshop meets outside in the overflow parking lot across from the DCRC.

Fit for Golf: The start of golf season is rapidly approaching and it is time to begin tuning up your body. This 4-part series focuses on balance, body joint mobility, core strengthening and flexibility. Keep the most commonly tight muscle groups loose for the start of golf season. Preparing your body will positively affect your early scores and decrease the chance of injury.

In Motion with Mary: A fitness program designed to empower people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and other degenerative diseases by optimizing their physical function and helping to delay the progression of symptoms. This is a mixed level group focusing on balance, core strength, walking, voice and coordination exercises with moderate heart rate elevation.

Scene Study 101: This fun acting class allows each participant to be a true collaborator while investigating the roller coaster of human relationships. Work with different scene partners to bring a story to life and take the next step to hone your skills as a performer. A wonderful opportunity for new and experienced actors.

Spring session leagues are held on Thursday & Sunday evenings, meet for 10 weeks, are co-ed leagues, and divided into A,B, & C skill levels. Due to current safety protocol, there is a limit on total number of players permitted each league time/session. Registration in a league night confirms play ability for the entire 10-week session. No refunds available once league play begins.

Hide & Seek in Coffman Park: Dublin Recreation Services staff are hiding throughout Coffman Park. Locate our smiling faces and scan the QR code to find out who we are and what we do at the DCRC. Write down your answers but don’t tell anyone else where we are…it’s a secret! Submit your final guesses online for a chance to win a prize. Now, close your eyes, count to ten…and go!

Make It/Take It at Kaltenbach Park: Join us each month for some fun adults & crafts! All supplies and materials included. Advanced registration required to maintain safety protocol. Our spring programs offer both day and evening session times so everyone has a chance to join in! In April, be a kid again while creating with fuse beads, finger paints, and sand. In May, we make memories by designing a scrapbook that you can keep for yourself, or give as a gift.

Hoopfitness…Movement w/a Twist: Looking for some FUN and want to feel like a kid again? Then try Hoopfitness…Movement w/a Twist! This high-energy, active program is an amazing way to express yourself, move your body, and feel free. For those who think they can’t hula-hoop…here is your challenge! Boost the fun factor in your life and try this program at Kaltenbach Park. Give Tasya five minutes and she WILL have you hooping!

Spring Hike Series: Ready to get outdoors this spring and explore YOUR Dublin Parks? Join us each month for fun, fitness, and fellowship during a 2-3 mile hike at one of Dublin’s community area parks (weather permitting). Each month provides an opportunity to explore, learn, and actively engage in nature at a different Dublin park. Advanced registration required to maintain safety protocol. This program is for participants 18+yrs of age.

Twilight Trek: Join Barbara Ray for an evening hike through one of our fabulous Dublin parks this spring and summer (weather permitting). Each trek provides an opportunity to explore, learn, and actively experience sights and sounds of nature you don’t normally notice during the daytime. Depending on the trek, you get to experience something different every time! Advanced registration required to maintain safety protocol. This program is for participants 18+yrs of age.

Park Hunt Bike Bingo: We are kicking off our park hunt in May with a twist…you need a bike to participate! Celebrate National Bike Month by participating in our Park Hunt Bike Bingo…it is easy and free and open to EVERYONE!

Where: Dublin parks identified on the bingo cards sent to participants once registered

Pedal to the Park: City of Dublin Bike Ambassadors lead a group of riders to a specific park destination each month, break for a few minutes, and return back to the starting point at the Dublin Recreation Center. All excursions are beginner-friendly and only require moderate levels of physical activity. Advanced registration is required to maintain safety protocol.
May destination: M.L. ‘Red’ Trabue Nature Preserve, 6500 Post Road. 3.78* mile round trip.

Japanese Language Training 1: Japanese Language Training 1 is a beginner level course for language learning offered by Snowy Tree Translation & Education Collaboration LLC. This virtual connections course includes structured framework focused on clear learning objectives, consistent content, and the opportunity to acquire, develop, and refine applicable skills in a positive, encouraging environment. Virtual Landscape Photography: Join Jeff on a journey toward “seeing” photographically utilizing the basics of landscape composition. The Best Defense: Virtual Conversations w/WTFD: Join the virtual conversation with staff at the Washington Township Fire Department, as they discuss important safety topics each month. Program Partnerships
Adult Divot League: This popular 12-week program provides a half hour of professional instruction each week, followed by up to nine (9) holes of golf with cart access. Open to both new and skilled players, learn and improve your game in this group instruction setting. Participants are required to bring their own clubs. Additional golf equipment and materials provided by the Safari Golf Club.
