Dublin, Ohio, USA,wasonceagain in the international spotlight asMuirfieldVillageGolf Club
playedhost tooneof the sport’smost prestigious events –ThePresidentsCup2013, October 1–6.
TheU.S. team, ledbyCaptainFredCouples, prevailedduring the2013playingofThePresidentsCup,
winning itsmatchesbya scoreof 18.5 to15.5over the international team, captainedbyNickPrice.
Thanks to theeffortsofDublinCityCouncil in2011, theCityofDublinwas thefirst governmental
agency to supportThePresidentsCup2013witha$250,000financial sponsorshipand$100,000 in
City services. Communityengagement began inAugust 2012andcontinuedupand throughThe
PresidentsCup.Withfinancial support, creative talents andvolunteer effortsour residents, corporate
citizens, businesses andorganizations elevated the local efforts spearheadedby theCityofDublinand
theDublinConventionandVisitorsBureau.
