The Dublin Police will remember law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty for Peace Officers Memorial Day. This day was first observed in May 1963, with President John F. Kennedy signing a proclamation the year before to designate the observance along with the time it falls as National Police Week.
The public is invited 1 p.m. Friday, May 17, to the Police Memorial Service at the Dublin Justice Center. In case of rain, the service will be held in the Justice Center Courtroom.
