City of Dublin Recognized for Exceptional Financial Reporting

(Dublin, Ohio) — The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) honored the City of Dublin with its Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR Award) for the City’s Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2021.

The PAFR Award honors state and local governments that extract information from their annual comprehensive financial report to produce high quality popular annual financial reports specifically designed to be readily accessible and easily understandable to the general public and other interested parties without a background in public finance and then to recognize individual governments that are successful in achieving that goal. Eligible reports are evaluated based on reader appeal, understandability, distribution methods, creativity and other elements.

“It is the City’s goal to be recognized globally among our peers for our exemplary fiscal health, accountability and transparency. This honor from GFOA affirms our success in that effort and validates for our residents and corporate partners our commitment to fiscal stewardship,” says Director of Finance Matthew Stiffler.

This is the City’s second GFOA honor for 2023. Earlier this year, the City received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from GFOA, the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting. In 2022, the City was honored with GFOA’s 2020 Triple Crown Award, which recognizes governments that have received GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award within the same fiscal year.
