
The City’s newest roundabout at Avery Road/Rings Road/Cara Road is now open. Infrastructure work continues, but the roadways are fully open.
The City of Dublin is committed to delivering world-class, innovative and efficient services to residents that make Dublin the most desirable and sustainable community. Several improvements, including a roundabout, are planned for the area of Avery Road/Rings Road/Cara Road. These improvements are intended to improve safety for the traveling public and provide needed city utility services to Dublin homes and residents.
The project includes:
- Relocation of existing private utilities in conflict with new roadway infrastructure
- Construction of new gravity sanitary sewer mains and manholes
- Installation of new stormwater facilities including mainlines, structures and retention pond
- Installation of new watermains and hydrants
- Modification and relocation of existing water system components
- Installation of new sidewalk and shared use path facilities including a pedestrian bridge
- Removal of existing roadway and components as needed for new roadway construction
- Construction of new roundabout at Avery/Rings/Cara Roadway intersection
- Completion of items outside the roadway such as street lighting, traffic signage, final grading and site restoration
Work Status:
- The project consists of a new roundabout at the Avery Road and Rings Road/Cara Road intersection and installation of a sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer and shared use path.
Traffic Impact:
- Avery Road and Rings Road will have intermittent lane closures via flagger operations for final stages of work.
