(Dublin, Ohio) — The Dublin Police Department is among 65 agencies selected to pilot a new national accreditation program focused on establishing best practices for law enforcement leadership. The Consortium to Advance Police Supervision (CAPS) aims to strengthen accountability and build greater public confidence in police agencies across the country.
Each participating department will designate one first-line supervisor to join the initiative. Sergeant Devin Howard will represent the Dublin Police Department.
“Participation in CAPS on a national level is exciting in that we have the opportunity not only to enhance our own operations for the City of Dublin by learning from others, but we will also have the opportunity to share our perspective globally. I am confident we can provide critical resources to enhance effectiveness and accountability for police supervisors across the country that will, in turn, improve police culture, promote officer wellness and improve the quality of policing in our communities,” says Sergeant Howard.
Participation in the CAPS program reflects the Dublin Police Department’s ongoing dedication to excellence in leadership, accountability and community service. By engaging in this national initiative, Dublin continues to set a high standard for professional development and public trust in policing.
