Dublin Shooting Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder

Dublin, Ohio— Dublin Police arrested and charged 32-year-old Chazmyne Zhaze Jackson with Attempted Murder in connection with a shooting on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in Dublin.

Just after 1 p.m., Dublin Police officers and medics from the Washington Township Fire Department responded to an apartment on Briardale Lane after receiving a report of a shooting.

According to the initial 911 call, a female reported that her boyfriend, a 33-year-old male, was shot by Jackson, whom she described as a friend. Initial investigations suggest the incident occurred following a domestic situation between the victim and his girlfriend earlier in the day.

All individuals involved remained at the scene.

When officers arrived, they immediately secured the apartment and the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting. Jackson was detained and interviewed by detectives at the Dublin Justice Center.

The victim was transported to OSU Wexner Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Jackson is currently being held in the Franklin County Jail.
