(Dublin, OH) Dublin City Council has approved the City’s five-year capital improvements program (CIP) for 2026-2030 for $374.6 million, including 144 projects over five years.
“Our five-year Capital Improvement Program reflects our commitment to fiscal transparency and long-term financial strength. The program ensures thoughtful investment in existing infrastructure, parks and recreation and future capital needs while maintaining responsible stewardship of public resources for the benefit of residents and businesses,” said Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance Matt Rubino.
The 2026–2030 Five-Year CIP allocates resources for anticipated capital project improvements to transportation, parks, utilities, and facilities across the community. The CIP serves as a long-term financial and planning tool that helps establish priorities, outline project costs and phasing, identify funding sources and guide future capital investments. These investments are aligned with City Council’s established goals and the Strategic Framework adopted by Council. Each year, City Council reviews the proposed projects and timelines and adopts the CIP by ordinance.
Key projects within the 2026-2030 CIP include:
- University Boulevard Extension – Phase 3 – $18.6M
- SportsOhio/Darree Fields – $12.6M
- Dublin Community Recreation Center Improvements – $9.9M
- Historic Dublin Area Infrastructure Improvements – $11.7M
- Riverside Crossing Park – Promenade & Integrated Perimeter Security – $4.4M
- Heightened Awareness Crosswalk Study Implementation – $2.7M
- AI Innovations – $1.1M
Through the City’s updated CIP webpage, residents can explore planned projects, locations and timelines via an interactive CIP map, a new feature designed to make the program more accessible and easier to navigate.
Council approved the five-year CIP after a second reading at its meeting Nov. 3, 2025.
