Dublin Police responded to two non-credible threats at Dublin schools today. Around 1 p.m., calls came into Davis Middle School and Scioto High School. Police believe both to be “swatting” incidents — false alarms meant to draw a large emergency response to a certain address. Davis Middle School entered “secure” status for a short time before students resumed normal activities. This incident did not impact the normal school activities for students and staff at Scioto High School.
Dublin Police will continue to investigate the incident at Scioto, while Columbus Police are leading the investigation at Davis Middle School, which is within their jurisdiction. We are grateful for the quick response from law enforcement and for the safety of all students and staff.
