City of Dublin Hosts 2026 Experience Public Works Day and Bike Road-eo

(Dublin, Ohio) – The City of Dublin is kicking off National Public Works Week, May 17-23, 2026, by hosting the combined Experience Public Works Day and Bike Road-eo event May 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Dublin Service Center (6555 Shier Rings Road).

A family-friendly event full of fun, kids will have a hands-on opportunity to explore the public service vehicles that drive around the city with “Touch-a-Truck.” Kids can climb into vehicles, paint a snowplow blade, jump in bounce houses and more.

Then, kids can hop on their bikes for the Bike Road-eo, featuring interactive stations that teach bike safety, help build cycling confidence and offer free bike swag.

“Experience Public Works Day is a meaningful opportunity to show residents the essential work our teams do every day to keep Dublin safe, connected and running smoothly,” says Director of Public Service Jay Anderson. “From operating specialized equipment to maintaining infrastructure and responding during emergencies, public service work often happens behind the scenes. This event gives our community a closer look at how public service supports daily life in Dublin.”

Experience Public Works Day will feature educational resources from community partners such as Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District, Columbia Gas, Sweeping Corp of America, Toole Design and Propark Mobility.

Parking and restrooms will be available at the Dublin Service Center. Learn more about the event by visiting our website at dublinohiousa.gov/city-services/experience-public-works-day/.
