All City of Dublin buildings, including the Dublin Justice Center, and all Washington Township Fire Department stations operate as Safe Space Dublin locations. People entering those buildings in a time of need can receive compassionate instructions from trained staff members about what steps they can take to receive support during a situation where their safety is in jeopardy.
The City of Dublin and Dublin Police are proud to partner with local mental health providers to ensure Dubliners know who to talk to in a crisis. This digital resource guide connects you with local and regional organizations focused on providing mental health support to everyone in our community.
The Dublin Police Department offers a self-defense class for anyone ages 16 and older. This four-hour course includes both classroom-style presentations and hands-on exercises to practice basic self-defense techniques. All participants receive a personal alarm device at the end of the program. Participants younger than 18 are required to provide written permission from a parent or guardian.
Get involved with a hands-on session from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Dublin Justice Center. Register online for these upcoming classes:
Business owners can request active threat training for employees at their place of business. Dublin police officers explain the techniques used to respond to an active threat.
Police can host an in-person or online session to discuss personal safety awareness for young people or adults. Classes include best practices for being alone outside, what to do if bullied or attacked and more.

In order to support faster response and better tracking of requests, the City of Dublin uses JustFOIA to collect, respond to and manage public information requests.
JustFOIA is a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) online application that helps streamline the open records request process for the community and improve efficiencies in getting requested information quickly and accurately.
The application lets community members submit requests for all city records, including police reports. Commonly requested information includes accident reports, copies of resolutions and body-camera video.
