The Chief’s Advisory Committee (CAC) serves as a group of community partners who share resident perspectives with the Dublin Police Department, the city manager and Dublin City Council. Members are tasked with offering valued advice, diverse outlooks, recommendations and feedback on significant police-community relations issues. This advisory role also includes contributing to discussions on Dublin Police policy, program implementation and strategic planning. Through collaboration with City staff and City Council, the CAC works to foster transparency, accountability and effective governance, ultimately striving to enhance public safety and the quality of life for all members of the community.

The Chief’s Advisory Committee provides opportunity for proactive community engagement and critical dialogue concerning the protection, service and public safety needs for the City of Dublin and valued advice, perspective, recommendations and feedback on significant police-community relations issues. The Chief’s Advisory Committee advises the Chief of Police and presents findings, progress and recommendations to the City Manager and City Council.

Ensuring Transparency and Accountability — Dublin Police effectively facilitates accountability by focusing reporting procedures on delivering transparency and information accessibility.
Diversifying Police Personnel — Dublin Police takes active and explicit steps toward diversifying the demographics of the department.
Promoting Public Safety and a Sense of Security — Dublin Police ensures public safety, a sense of security, and community engagement while acknowledging and respecting the various cultures and perspectives of diverse residents.
Cultivating Community Engagement and Public Trust — Dublin Police develops and executes a comprehensive community engagement strategy that effectively connects police with Dublin residents, businesses and community stakeholders.
In order to support faster response and better tracking of requests, the City of Dublin uses JustFOIA to collect, respond to and manage public information requests.
JustFOIA is a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) online application that helps streamline the open records request process for the community and improve efficiencies in getting requested information quickly and accurately.
The application lets community members submit requests for all city records, including police reports. Commonly requested information includes accident reports, copies of resolutions and body-camera video.

This Revised Charter, as adopted on March 19, 1996, became effective on July 4, 1996.
The Zoning Code for Dublin is Chapter 153 of the Dublin Code of Ordinances. The Zoning Code sets land development requirements and establishes different uses within individual districts. Zoning regulations address the physical development of a site, such as building height, lot requirements, setbacks from lot lines, minimum numbers of parking spaces, sign types and sizes, and other related regulations.
