Riverside Crossing Park

Park Use & Policy

Riverside Crossing Park is a premier destination park, open to the general public with the primary purpose of passive recreational use. Because of its scenic views and proximity to Historic Dublin and Bridge Park, the park is a popular venue for event requests, large and small. In addition to applicable permitting requirements outlined in the Community Event Policy, this policy provides regulations for the use of Riverside Crossing Park for events.

Please feel free to call Community Events at 614.410.4510 for any further information.

General Use Requirement

  • Events and activities shall not impede pedestrian access to the Dublin Link Pedestrian Bridge or prevent general public use of the bike/walking paths.
  • The permanent park restrooms may be used by events; however, depending on the size of the event, an event may be required to supply additional portable restrooms. Permitted restrooms must remain accessible to the general public.
  • Permission to use a public address system or amplification may be approved through the event permitting process.
  • Due to the irrigation system and underground utility lines, staking is not permitted in the event lawn.
  • Golf carts or other motorized vehicles are not permitted on the event lawn without prior approval of the Community Events Division.
  • If fencing is needed for an event, the style/type of fence shall be reviewed and approved in advance of the event through the event permitting process. Fencing and exclusive access is limited to specific areas of the park.
  • Portions of the park are located in the active Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA), and additional portions of the park can be activated as a DORA. If an event desires to activate a portion of the park for use as a DORA, a written request must be made to the Community Events Division staff and approved by the City Council as part of the permitting process.

Private Events

  • Private social events such as weddings, birthday parties, graduations, etc. will not be granted a permit for exclusive use of the park and are not permitted to erect tents or other structures.
  • Fundraising events with ticketed entrance prices may be permitted, but such events are not permitted to use the upper plaza.
