Forestry crews contracted AEP Ohio will be removing trees around the high-voltage transmission lines at locations near Emerald Parkway, Sawmill Road and S.R. 161. This is part of an effort to comply with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) requirements and protect the national electric system.Â
Beginning June 16, AEP Ohio will be reaching out to homeowners within the work area. If no one is home, they will leave a door hanger with more information.Â
Work Status:
- Trees near transmission lines in AEP Ohio’s utility right-of-ways will be removed. Learn more from AEP’s website.
- Cones and flaggers will be used for work along roadways.Â
