Barb Anderson Honored as Grand Leprechaun of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade

(Dublin, Ohio) — The City of Dublin is pleased to announce the selection of Barb Anderson as the 2025 Grand Leprechaun. Mayor Chris Amorose Groomes, City Manager Megan O’Callaghan and former City of Dublin Grand Leprechauns selected Anderson in recognition of her generosity and continuous efforts in supporting numerous Dublin-based organizations. In this role, Barb will lead the City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 15.

Barb and her husband, Dr. Tom Anderson, have lived in Dublin for 35 years and are parents of two adult children, Mollie, in Arlington, Virginia and Ryan and his fiancé Cassie, in Davidson, North Carolina.

Barb currently serves as Interfaith Outreach Facilitator at Dublin Community United Church of Christ and is involved in many ventures that bring together people of diverse faith backgrounds. She serves as President of SAIL (Safe Alliance of Interfaith Leaders), leading and participating in many Central Ohio interfaith gatherings. She also facilitates WORD (Women of Religious Diversity), bringing women of diverse faith backgrounds together on a weekly basis. In 2019, Barb received the Living Faith Award for interfaith and multicultural work from the Spirituality Network of Central Ohio.

Barb serves on the board for the Dublin Food Pantry and is the chair of the Bounty at Bridge Park Event Committee, a major fundraiser for the Pantry. She is dedicated to the Pantry’s mission and enjoys working with the leadership and volunteers. Additionally, Barb is on the Board of Deep Griha USA, which assists children and families in need in Pune, India. Barb also supports many local causes through her membership with Dublin A.M. Rotary.

The City of Dublin will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Greenest, Grandest Parade on Saturday, March 15. Dublin’s Irish attitude will be on display as more than 100 participants travel from Metro Place through Historic Dublin. After the parade, enjoy Irish entertainment at Dublin’s restaurants and pubs.
