The City of Dublin has received the Auditor of State Award with Distinction from the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office for excellence in financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws for the fiscal year ending 2024.
Presented to fewer than 4% of audited entities each year, the award recognizes local governments and school districts that demonstrate the highest standards in financial reporting and fiscal stewardship. To qualify, entities must timely file reports free of findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, Uniform Guidance findings or questioned costs and prepare an ACFR (Annual Comprehensive Financial Report).
“Receiving the Auditor of State Award with Distinction reflects Dublin’s strong commitment to fiscal responsibility, transparency and accountability. It is one of the most prestigious recognitions a local government can receive,” says City of Dublin Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance Matt Rubino. “Our Finance team takes great pride in maintaining the highest standards in financial reporting and stewardship for our residents and community.”
The recognition adds to Dublin’s strong record of financial excellence. In 2025, the City of Dublin received the highest credit ratings from S&P Global Ratings, Fitch Ratings, Moody’s Investor Service and KBRA, for the second consecutive year. This reaffirms Dublin’s role as the first and only city in the United States to earn four AAA ratings. Additionally, for the fourth consecutive year, the City of Dublin earned the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) Triple Crown Award.
