Dublin Bringing Transportation Innovators to Bridge Park

For two days, Bridge Park will become a real-world showcase for the future of transportation.

Transportation leaders, technology experts and innovators from across the Midwest will gather in Dublin Sept. 22-23 for the 2026 ITS Midwest Conference & Expo, bringing emerging mobility technology, live demonstrations and industry conversations into the heart of the community.

While the conference is designed for transportation professionals, residents and visitors will also have the opportunity to see innovation in action. Interactive field demonstrations throughout Bridge Park will showcase emerging technologies, including connected vehicles, smart infrastructure and tools designed to make transportation safer, smarter and more responsive.

This year’s conference, themed “Partnering for Progress: Collaboration for Smarter Transportation,” will focus on how communities, public agencies and private-sector partners can work together to advance safer, smarter and more connected transportation systems.

Dublin’s Transportation & Mobility Team is helping bring the conference to a community where many of those ideas are already being tested and put into practice.

“Transportation innovation thrives in Dublin because we are willing to test new ideas, build strong partnerships and turn emerging technology into real-world solutions,” says Marc Dilsaver, Dublin’s Transportation Program Manager. “Hosting the ITS Midwest Conference is an opportunity to share that work and learn alongside transportation leaders from across the region.”

The conference will feature keynote speaker Laura Demeo Chace, president and CEO of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America). Chace leads the national organization’s work to advance policies and investments focused on safer, more innovative and efficient transportation.

Dublin will also be part of the conversation throughout the conference. City Manager Megan O’Callaghan will welcome attendees Sept. 22, while Dublin team members will participate in sessions highlighting AI-powered pathway management and the City’s cloud-based smart traffic operations.

By bringing the conference into Bridge Park, attendees can move beyond presentations and see how emerging transportation technologies interact with real streets, vehicles and infrastructure.
