For Fourth Consecutive Year, City of Dublin Earns Esteemed ‘Triple Crown’ Award for Fiscal Stewardship and Transparency

(Dublin, OH) For the fourth consecutive year, the City of Dublin has earned the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) Triple Crown Award, a valuable distinction recognizing governments that demonstrate exceptional financial reporting, budgeting and transparency. The Triple Crown honor underscores the City’s strong commitment to fiscal stewardship and clear communication with residents and businesses.

To receive the Triple Crown Award, a government must earn all three of GFOA’s top financial reporting recognitions within the same fiscal year – an achievement that reflects excellence across financial reporting, budgeting and public accessibility. Dublin’s award-winning financial documents are available on the City’s website.

“This recognition from the GFOA reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to fiscal health, transparency, accountability and reporting best practices,” says City of Dublin Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance Matt Rubino. “Earning the Triple Crown for the fourth time is a testament to the dedication of our finance team and our focus on providing residents and our business community with clear, reliable information about how public resources are managed.”

The GFOA Triple Crown Award includes:

  • Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting – Recognizing comprehensive financial reports that exceed standard requirements and promote full disclosure.
  • Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award – Honoring reports that clearly communicate financial information in an accessible, easy-to-understand format.
  • Distinguished Budget Presentation Award – Recognizing budget documents that reflect best practices in transparency, planning and financial management.

Earning the GFOA Triple Crown Award highlights Dublin’s continued commitment to responsible financial management and reinforces the City’s strong foundation for long-term stability and growth.
