2026 Renovations
Sandy Corners Playground Renovation
Playground renovations at Sandy Corners are now complete! The playground includes all new play equipment and surfacing for children ages 2-12. The new play area includes a play structure, a playhouse, swings, slides and is inclusive for all ages and abilities.
Emerald Fields North Playground
Construction staging has begun and work is expected to be completed during Oct. Some work has been delayed due to inclement weather.
Emerald Fields North is getting a new playground. The proposed design includes all new play equipment and surfacing for children ages 2-12. The new play area will include 3 slides, a climbing structure, musical instruments, spinners, 6 swings, and is inclusive for all ages and abilities.
2027 Renovations
Belvedere Park is getting a new playground. The community outreach survey resulted in the request to add additional swings, shade elements and inclusive play, all of which have been integrated into the design. Additional improvements based on resident requests will include more shade trees and improved drainage. The design includes all new play equipment and surfacing for children ages 2-12. The new play area will include separate age-based play structures with shade canopies, bridges, multi-use swings, slides and a unique three- person swing called the Tri-Runner.
Heather Glen
The playground at Heather Glen Park will receive an update. The community responded to the concept with requests for additional swings, shade elements and a tube slide. The design includes separate play areas for children ages 2-5 and 5-12. Construction will take place during the winter and will open in spring 2027.
Llewellyn Farms Park will receive an updated playground at the end of the season. The community outreach survey resulted in the request to provide a tube slide and add more inclusive musical equipment, while preserving the shaded tree canopy. The new design includes all new play equipment and surfacing for children ages 2-12. A different tree house for each age group provides multiple ways to climb, hide and slide. The new play area will also include multi-use swings, multiple balance beams and soft turf.
