Curbside Chipper Service

The City’s chipper service helps residents remove trees and shrub trimmings from their property.

To ensure timely pickup, residents may schedule through our online service request or call the Hot Line at 614.410.4780 (24 hours per day). Pickup times may vary based on demand. Please state your name, address and daytime phone number at the prompts. Requests can also be made through the GoDublin app on your mobile device.

The City will bring the chipper machine to private residences with a house number and remove tree and shrub trimmings, subject to the following established regulations:

  • Trimmings should be at least 5 feet long. There is no maximum length. Longer trimmings are easier for City crews to remove.
  • The machine will accept branches with a maximum diameter of 12 inches.
  • All trimmings must be piled within 5 feet of the curb or at the end of the driveway. Trimming piles should be neatly placed, with the cut ends pointed towards the street.
  • Trees and bushes with roots cannot go through the chipper machine. Roots must be cut off and processed through other composting programs.
  • Tree and shrub clippings only. No vines or honeysuckle. Clippings that include vines or honeysuckle will not be picked up.
  • No FIREWOOD, lumber, boards, wire or other debris.
  • City equipment and employees will not come on private property to remove trimmings.
  • Clippings should not be piled near mailboxes, fire hydrants or parked cars, as they may scratch the cars. Clippings deemed too close to parked cars will not be picked up.
  • Chipping service is limited to one truck load per household. Residents with excessive amounts or who are unable to wait for their scheduled pickup should make other arrangements.
  • City employees will not leave mulch at residences.

The chipper service is provided Monday through Thursday during the peak season and reduced to two days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) from late October to February. Your chipper service will be provided within 1-7 business days of your request, depending on when the truck will be in your zone.

Public Records Request Overview

In order to support faster response and better tracking of requests, the City of Dublin uses JustFOIA to collect, respond to and manage public information requests.

Why JustFOIA?

JustFOIA is a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) online application that helps streamline the open records request process for the community and improve efficiencies in getting requested information quickly and accurately.

The application lets community members submit requests for all city records, including police reports. Commonly requested information includes accident reports, copies of resolutions and body-camera video.
